BOSTON, May 20, 2025 – Today we announced the recipient of the FlatWorld Scholarship Program. UMass Lowell will receive free textbooks for selected courses during the Fall 2025 and spring 2026 semesters. The annual textbook scholarship is now in its seventh year!
Professor Cintya Gajardo-Vejar at UMass Lowell will receive complimentary access to Entrepreneurship Version 2.0 by Laura Portolese, Jaclyn Krause, and Julie R. Bonner — an integrative textbook that equips learners with the knowledge and mindset to advance on their academic and entrepreneurial journeys.
“Committed to student success, our University is working to reduce textbook costs. For our introductory entrepreneurship class, we’ve been using a no-cost edition that will soon be discontinued. Free access to Entrepreneurship 2.0 will ensure its ongoing use, while equipping our students with high-quality resources for success.”

Professor Cintya will also benefit from a range of supplemental material provided for each title at no additional cost, including FlatWorld Homework, an instructor’s manual, PowerPoint lecture notes, test banks, a sample syllabus, and a test generator.
“We’re delighted to recognize Professor Cintya Gajardo-Vejar from UMass Lowell as our newest award recipient. Her dedication to education deserves this special acknowledgment.
At FlatWorld, we remain committed to our founding principle that quality educational resources should be available to all. Through initiatives like our Annual Textbook Scholarship, we continue to support students across the country in their academic pursuits.
Scholarship recipients like Professor Gajardo-Vejar and her students gain full access to our comprehensive educational tools, from textbooks to the FlatWorld Homework platform. We firmly believe that effective learning requires complete resources, not partial solutions, and we’re proud to provide these essential components to help ensure success throughout their academic journey.”
